Learn to crochet a facecloth from soft Queensland Cotton. Suitable for a beginner.

You will make a Face Cloth 12-15cm square with basic crochet stitches – chain, double crochet, and treble (UK/AUS terms). This is a perfect piece to try if you are new to crocheting. The surface of the washer is soft yet slightly textured. The perfect handmade gift and suitable for a baby washcloth.

We will be using beautiful, soft, Queensland grown cotton from Full Circle Fibres. The cotton is from St George and is sustainably and ethically sourced. I will have hand dyed the cotton myself, prior to the workshop in a selection of colours. The hand dyeing provides a lovely gentle variation effect through the yarn. Or you may choose to use the perfectly natural cotton undyed is which is also available. You may like to buy additional hand-dyed cotton or other products from the Emporium, to take home and make some more.

This workshop is suitable for beginners.

We will supply: – All materials, including 50g of hand-dyed Queensland cotton yarn, crochet hook, and tapestry needle

What you should bring: Note pad, pen and ruler

Please arrive at 9:45 am for 10:00 am start

Homebaked morning tea with Tea & Coffee provided.
