Learn to twine banana fibre to make a great basket.
Join us and learn the fabulous art of twining… Participants will learn a basic weaving technique & use natural fibres such as banana to twist and turn into an awesome small basket, coaster, place mat or mini wall hanging… We will discuss suitable fibres to use, prepare and store…and practice prepping, stripping & drying banana fibres for future use… Be inspired by the magic of nature
Please feel free to bring along from home, wool, feathers, beads etc & non-toxic fibres to include in your masterpiece, a cushion for comfort, a plate to share for lunch and a big smile.
Morning Tea provided. Coffee and tea provided. Microwave and Fridge available.
Minimum of 4 students, the class will be cancelled 48 hours prior if the minimum is not met.
