Do you wish to get away for a weekend? Would you like to spend that weekend crafting with old and new friends? Would you like to go to a place where you can learn new things and work on your own projects? Would you like to go to a beautiful location where the meals are prepared for you and you don’t have to wash up?
Then the QSWFA Mapleton Fibre Art Retreat is for you!
Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August 2020.
Join us for QSWFA’s annual fibre arts retreat in beautiful Mapleton at the Qld Conference and Convention Centre on Obi Obi Road. Enjoy winter on the Blackall Range and rug up in your handcrafted woollies while you create works of art. The retreat is fully catered with great food from the QCCC kitchen. Accommodation is in fully air-conditioned dormitories and cabins. We have plenty of space to set up and work on your own project within Kirkwood Hall. We welcome all fibre arts, so bring your yarn craft, paper crafts, basket making, weaving, felting or anything! We would love to see what you do. The Fibre Arts Retreat is a place to meet new friends, share and learn new ideas & skills. There is plenty of space to spread out, so you can even bring a large project. There are workshops on Saturday to expand your skills and shop with our traders (including our own Emporium Stall) who bring all sorts of tempting goodies to purchase. Come for the whole weekend or just for the day on Saturday.
