Come and learn the basic traditional Crochet Granny Square. Leave the workshop feeling confident to continue at home creating a blanket! This workshop is suitable for beginners to learn the crochet stitches to make a granny square: slip knot, chain stitch, treble crochet. Learn to read a written pattern and a chart pattern. Changing colour and joining the squares.
What to bring:
You need to bring three to five different coloured 8 ply wool and a 4mm or 4.5mm crochet hook, scissors and a large eye needle. If you don’t have time to gather materials, don’t panic. There will be a kit available for $15 includes 5 x colours of 8 ply wool and a crochet hook. Scissors and needles will be available to use on the day.
We will have a short break for a cuppa. Tea, coffee, and biscuits are available. Plus freshly baked home made apple muffins. You are welcome to bring along your own snacks. There are a microwave and a fridge available in the QSWFA kitchen.
